Scan a passport
The assistant reads the identity page and fills in the record: name, date of birth, number.

To register a pilgrim, no need to retype everything: just scan their passport. Several methods: the photo is the simplest. Or: manual entry, camera, or live reading. One click on "Scan with AI", then you choose the passport photo. The artificial intelligence reads the identity page, line by line.
It takes a few seconds. The fields fill in on their own: first name, last name, date and place of birth, nationality. Every field filled this way gets an "auto" tag: you can see at a glance what was read. Further down, the passport number, the issuing country and the validity dates are picked up the same way.
All that's left is to check and fill in what's missing, like the occupation. The result: a pilgrim entered in a few seconds, with fewer typos.
