Nusuk Hajj is the Saudi Ministry of Hajj's official platform for pilgrims living in a country without a national Hajj mission: most of Europe, the Americas, Oceania and a few countries in Asia and Africa — more than a hundred countries according to Nusuk Hajj. For these pilgrims, Hajj registration must go through the platform.
What counts is your country of residence, not your nationality: the portal asks for it when you create the account, and it cannot be changed later. A Moroccan, Algerian or Pakistani national living in the UK, France or Canada therefore registers on Nusuk Hajj from that country, with their residence permit.

The hajj.nusuk.sa portal follows a ten-step journey. The first two can be prepared right now:
The calendar is set every season by the platform: account creation and file reviews first, then package sales open, a few months before Hajj. Only the dates published on Nusuk Hajj are authoritative.
The Nusuk Hajj portal asks for a recent personal photo, as a JPG or PNG, 200 × 200 pixels, 1 MB at most, on a white background.
These requirements were checked on the portal on 17 September 2026. They may change from one season to the next: the tool applies the current values automatically.
Four steps, nothing to install:
The crop is always square and the photo comes out at exactly 200 × 200 px. Compression is automatic: at that size the file usually weighs a few dozen KB, well under the 1 MB limit.
Nusuk Hajj expects the passport data page — the one with your photo — as a JPG or PNG, within 800 × 400 pixels and 1 MB.
The tool finds the edges of the passport and corrects the perspective of a photo taken at an angle. You can always move the four corners by hand. The image is then scaled down without distortion to fit within 800 × 400 px.
A scanned passport often comes as a PDF. Drop the file into the Passport card: each page shows as a thumbnail, you pick the passport page and it is converted to JPG on your device. PNG and WEBP images are converted the same way.
On iPhone, a HEIC photo picked from the photo library is usually converted to JPG by the phone when you select it.
Most rejections come down to a few simple causes:
The tool fixes the format, dimensions and file size. It cannot make a blurry photo sharp: in that case, take the photo again. The Nusuk portal also runs its own checks; a file prepared here meets the stated dimensions and limits, with no guarantee of acceptance.
For agencies that support pilgrims on Nusuk Hajj, the upload step often stalls on documents: photos and passports sent over WhatsApp or email, too heavy, badly framed or as PDFs. The tool gets them into shape in seconds, with no account and no usage limit.

Every season the platform first opens account creation and file reviews, then package sales, a few months before Hajj. The exact dates are published on hajj.nusuk.sa and only those are authoritative. Prepare your photo and passport ahead of time: they are the first documents of your file.
Yes, if a served country is your country of residence: Nusuk Hajj goes by where you live, chosen when you create the account and not editable later. Keep your residence permit at hand, as it may be requested in addition to your passport.

200 × 200 pixels, JPG or PNG, 1 MB maximum, on a white background. The tool crops the photo to a square, scales it to exactly that size and compresses it automatically.
Add the photo to the tool, place your head inside the oval using the zoom, then click “Prepare my photo”. The downloaded file is exactly 200 × 200 px, as a JPG, with no software to install.
Turn on “Make the background white”. The tool reads the wall colour along the edges of the photo and replaces it with white, without AI. It works well on a plain background (light wall, sheet); if the background is busy, the tool says so instead of producing a bad cut-out. Retake the photo against a plain wall.
The data page as a JPG or PNG, 800 × 400 pixels at most and 1 MB at most. The whole page and the MRZ must stay readable. The tool straightens the page, scales it down without distortion and compresses it.
Drop the PDF into the Passport card and pick the page with the passport: it is converted to a JPG in the right format, on your device. A password-protected PDF cannot be read; export the page as an image instead.
The most common causes: file too heavy, dimensions other than 200 × 200 px, HEIC format, background that is not white, blurry or poorly lit photo. The first four can usually be fixed with the tool; a blurry or dark photo has to be retaken.
